anything when the hi temps are 65 and lows are in the 40's? Does the root system grow during this period? Or does it basicly hybernate?

Roots grow slowly even when its cool so don't lose hope. Once the soil temps rise into the 60's that bugger will run. It's only 57°F here right now. 4" of rain today with no sun in the forecast until nest Tuesday. YIKES!
