The leaves on my plant are drooping. Plant looks skinny and weak. We have had cool wet weather the last couple weeks and last night it went down to about 36 degrees. Is the plant alright?

yes, it's alright. Put a coldframe over it. Get rid of your gophers

Shannon, yes I had it in a cold frame. I wish I was able to attach some pictures to this question. I will post the pictures in my diary. This a bummer because the weather is starting to turn the corner. After Wednesday the nights here are going to be in the 50's and the days are going to be in the 70's and 80's. Luckly, I have back up plants unfortunatly my friend is not going to get one if this plant dies.

Give it a little time once the weather turns, the plant will come around...

subway,

I just released that picture. It does look like frost damage. Leave it be & the warm weather will turn it back around. Don't spray it with anything else until it's growing. We shouldn't try to PUSH a plant. Just meet it's needs when it is growing.

Tremor,

Thanks for the reply. One more question. How long should I wait to see if it is going to come back around?

Look at the newest leaf. If it's growing, the plant is ok.

milford, CT,

Tremor's right! I....the master tinkerer...have tried to accelerate growth when it should not be done. His advice this year has kept me in touch with the reality that the plants will grow when the weather is right. Usually anything we do to try to trick mother nature fails and puts us way behind where we would have been if we just were patient. Mark
