I just made my first diary entry and now here is my first question: I've noticed in diary entries that many growers seem quite disappointed and ready to pull seedlings if the leaf formation isn't perfect. Should I assume this is a sign the plant will not grow and produce properly?

No, alot of plants that have grown very large fruit didn't start perfectly. Let them grow. Some like to make mountains out of molehills. At least thats my point of view.

One of the hottest, if not the top seed out there- the 1068 Wallace, seems to be very slow, even sickly looking for many growers. Then it destroys the competition. Don't worry about the seed leaves. It has been cool but we will have a good week of higher temps coming. Jim

Ditto G.
Some folks are quick to assess a seedling's initial growth as a predictor of the final outcome/product.

So is humility...

The upper tier (or so they believe) will not always give you a helpfull answer to your questions Nana, but keep on asking, most people will. PA and orangneck in my opinion are right on the mark.
