an old home remedy calls for milk sprays to help prevent powdery mildew.
not sure how much they cut the milk with water before spraying because i never would use milk.
to many good products with sestemic availability to be bothered with home remedies

I've sprayed milk a couple times this season. I alternated between neem oil and milk. I waited about 10 days between spraying. The amount was 10% milk, 90% water in a pressurized sprayer. I am not an experienced grower and I haven't grown pumpkins very big yet. But I haven't had powdery mildew this year once I started spraying neem and milk. Last year I did have powdery mildew because I wasn't spraying anything to avoid it.

10-40% milk - the rest water. Low or reduced fat is better.

Tremor-I know you had to use the milk/water @ a school in the past but why is the lower fat content milk better?

Fat is not good for the plants...

Correct - the fat is presumed to clog the leaf stomata? Not sure to be perfectly honest but the 2% I used in 2004 did a great job with no damage even in full sun at high Noon @ 90+ degrees.
