How much money should you get for a giant pumpkin?

I would ask what is it worth to you? As a general guide $1 a pound... Supply and demand will also factor in. Anything 1500lbs or more = Priceless

Over 1000 lbs & orange is $1/lb easy. Great shape & delivered can net even more.

Some time back someone said 10c/lb/100 with a minimum of about $20 for the shell with seedback rights.

So an 835# is 80c/lb or $668... and you get the seeds back.

Supply and demand, yes, but really seriously the closer you are to the 1k mark the more you should stick to $1 a pound, and over 1k, what the market will bear.

I have a few this year in 200-250# range that will be given to major sponsors and I will have to go fetch seeds at sacrifice time. I want them as repeat sponsors and it will get publicity. If I had a 1k I would not be giving it unless they really gave to the cause....

several years back you could get some big bucks because they were rare but today it seems everybody has a giant pumpkin they want to sell.

depending on your location, supply vs demand ? the present state of the economy ? you can expect anyehere from .25 up to $1.00 per pound.

No PAP, the pumpkins I have came from your plant you gave me in the spring. I am grateful, I just wondered how much people offer for them. This year we are carving them. Hey PAP thanx a lot you gave my three girls a joy.
