this is my first year growing ags. i thought i read somewhere not to bring damaged pumpkins to the weight-offs. she looks like she went through world war two. as of today she is still kicking and a little rough around the edges, but she's my baby. should i leave her at home or take her with? she really wants to go.

As long as you don't have a split that goes all the way into the cavity she is good to go. Don't miss the opportunity to take it! It's all about weight, not looks!

OH Man, take it to the Weigh Off, you will have a good time, and you will have stories to tell.

Take it to the weighoff. Networking is huge & fun. If the fruit gets branded as DMG you'll at least have an official weight for it.

If she doesn't have a split to the seed cavity or a soft spot big enough to DQ, you might get a real weight.

Take it.... all of mine look like I'm into Pumpkin S&M this year... but all sound enough to go.
