OK... What is Heavy, and how is a cross involved?
bearing in mind it is Halloween should I be scared?

Ok, measurements are taken and a formula used to estimate the weight of a pumpkin. Then, when the pumpkin is weighed the actual weight is compared to the estimated weight. So if the pumpkin estimated 1000 pounds and the actual weight is 1100 pounds, the pumpkin is said to "go heavy to the chart". The cross is when you plant 2 different seeds. On one plant you pollinate the female blossom with a male blossom from the other plant. This is done when you want to combine certain genetics into one seed.
