Queen of the Ranch

Kansas

Failed at my 1st attempt due to rotting underneath and squash bugs. But I have high hopes for this year. I want to start indoors but not sure of the timing for my area. I have a grow light setup. I live in zone 6, right in the middle of the Land of OZ! WOuld appreciate some guidance.
THanks, Queen of the Ranch.

Queen, you come to the right site for all your answers on growing (the site search will lead you to any question you have), if you dont have a club near you or someone that has a little experience in growing near you, find someone you can email and pester to death like I did!!,,(kidding on that part, you dont want to over do it.,lol)
But what I did when I first starting growing was used this site ALOT and emailed a few heavy hitters out there and asked them questions. Heck,,, just ask a few heavy hitters out there if they got more then a few emails from me when I first started growing,, and they will tell you what kind of pest I really was, and still am,hahaha!

I made alot of great friends with them guys though, most of them wont hesitate to answer any question you have, even if you think its stupid or not.

One thing I can see you will definatly need with you living in OZ country is some type of wind breaks since you area is so flat and there is no hills or nothing to block the wind from tearing up your plants, espically when they are at thier younger stage.
