Hi all,

I was just wondering if their was an ideal size of cot leaf to be aiming for? ie. the distance between the tip of a cot leaf to the other cot leaf tip. Or does the plant balance itself out later on anyway no matter what size?

Also is there a known largest span for the cot leaves?

Many thanks

It seems to me that the cot leaves - and I may be mistaken - are generally not representative of the rest of the plant.

Cot size doesn't matter. If all the seedlings have the same good exposure to sunlight, one might select the more vigorous seedling to plant but there is often dramatic size differences between genetics.

Low or artificial light can lead to large cots.

13.6 inches from tip to tip is the current seed (cot) leaf world record held by dave stelts. the record was formerly held by larry checkon.
just kidding of course. both answers above are quite accurate.
