Subject:  peanut shape pumpkin

I think my pumblin is done growing it is glossy around the middle and a rough dull texture around the top and bottom. the shape also resembles a peanut or hourglass fidgure. any ideas what went wrong and how to get a nice round shape next time?

Some are just naturally deformed (probably a deformed lobe). I had one similiar I named Medusa that I ended up culling.

you might consider in the future waiting until the pumpkins are at least small beach ball size before choosing your keeper.odd ball shapes can usually be detected by beach ball size.
in the future you could also research the offspring of the seeds you want to plant.
