Its a bit late to try to push them. If you do you run a high risk of spliting the pumpkin this time of year. If you wanted to throw the K to it you should have done it a month or more ago. Most would proabably also advise you against using 0-0-60 in favor of 0-0-50, either water soluble or granular.

Also, depending on what your soil test says, adding more K could just cause your fruit to mature faster and grow less in the long run. If you do decide to use it I'd go light.

I added VERY little granular 0-0-60 for a push in the last few weeks before my weigh off. Two days after adding it, I got a stem split :( I wont make that mistake again.

I'm a new grower as well and what I've been told is to just keep the fruit healthy this time of year. Don't overdo anything and water only as needed. I've read a few posts where their "big one" ended up splitting. I like pap's quote, "pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered". Sums it up nicely.
