My 1662.5 Stelts has been growing great. It is a monster compared to my other plant. It is in the hoop house and growing strong.Sunday night all leaves were fine. Tuesday night the second true leave which was about 12" long and had an 9" inch leaf was shriveld and on the ground. The rest of the plant is still very strong looking. Is the plant doomed?

Thanks
Paul

I'm assuming you checked and made sure the leaf isn't broken at it's base. If that's not the problem, it could be disease or it could be the plant settling in.
Our fertility is so high and obviously our moisture this year, some times a transplant will suffer for a leaf or two. The only thing you can do is let it grow out more and see if it corrects itself. You haven't been applying high N fertilizer by any chance?

Thanks for the reply. No I have not added any N to the plant. I have been letting the plant grow and the rest of the plant looks great. This one leaf looks just plain old and crusty.

I guess I will just sit back and see where we end up.

I've had a leaf or two on each of mine look like that as well. They grew right out of it. Something about this crazy weather we've had. I think just the right sunshine and conditions when plants were hardening off, I believe. BSD,David
