Use the closest secondary as your main. And yes, I believe you can still get a 600 lber. Just my 2 cents worth.

You can get a 1000 pounder with a lot of work and luck. It has been done. 600 pounds is not unreasonable to hope for, considering the genetics of today's seeds.

Last year was my first year growing. My 2 biggest, 1030 and 990 were grown on a secondary after I lost the main. When you loose the main, the secondary becomes the main.

The 1375 Liggett 08 was grown on a secondary after the main was damaged by a hail storm in mid Jun.

Happened to me last season, which was my first season to grow ag's. My 696 Holder plant broke at 3 foot from the stump. I trained the closest secondary to be the new main. I figure that I lost 2 weeks from where I was before the break, but still managed to get a 772 pounder. And that was with a very sick plant at the beginning of August.

Don't sweat it, I don't think a plant knows the difference from a main vine to a secondary. When you have 1 fruit, it will do it's job and push the juices to it. Of coarse the grower has to put in the time also.

Best of luck.
