Last year the blossom end rotted so Im not really sure what a normal one should look like. Mine is getting wrinkled and shriveled up, is that normal? Im trying not to panic but Im really worried. Pic in my diary...

Tammy it may be the end for that fruit. Measure it and then again 24 hrs later.If its putting on inches then its ok

I would cut it off and get to a point where it is not brown..clean with a 10% bleach solution and paste with straight Daconil..sun-light and a fan for a few days..

its kinda soft and wilted looking, it was firm and solid before. what does this part typically do? Does it stay on for the entire life of the fruit or fall off like an umbilical cord? Ok that was a bad example lol but you know what I mean.

I have had this 2x so far on my pumpkins. I have cut it off and pasted with dalconil...keep it dry

it was even more shriveled this morning, got a mirror so I could look underneath and sure enough there was a little black spot, the beginnings of rot. Cut the whole thing off, mixed up some captan paste and put a fan to it. Hopefully itll work, its awfully early in the season to have to start doctoring on it already :(

Don't sweat it. 1675 Hopkins grew all last year after the blossom rotted off and was treated as such. If it hurt the 1675 it may have helped me :)
