Mites, Mosaic Virus, extreme pH issue, major nutrient imbalance, too wet, too dry, root nematodes, etc, etc....

Can you post a photo?

Good Heavens, is the entire state of California infected with Mosaic Virus? I'm sorry to say this looks alot like what I have been trying to cut off of plants, which I highly expect to be Mosaic. There was another gentleman's diary that I read where he stated that it showed up in his patch and he is in San Diego. I have to think that this overcast June really helped this disease to flourish this year. Good luck to you and I hope you can still salvage a pumpkin!!

I,m in Central part of Calif. It is just plain hot here. My first females are showing up. The plants are handling the heat real good. Right now no bugs, no disease of any kind showing up. I know what you mean about overcast that the Southern part of the state is having right now. Maybe it is helping the mosiac disease to grow. Good luck ,just maybe be careful how wet things are around your plants. That may cut down on the virus...Greg

sorry if I'm asking to many questions, I dug around some of the plants and there seemed to be millions of little bugs(apox. 1/32" long) in the soil.Any suggestions on but to get rid of them.
