biological fungicides are very beneficial and safe to control against soil born pathogens.when used as a drench these biological fungicides grow onto the plants root system, protecting the plant from harmful root pathogens.
suggest you drench every three weeks with root shield and actonivate ( yes you may add water soluable additions for nutrients if needed,we do.---fish ,kelp, etc.

spraying the pumpkin --- the fungicides daconil, cleary, eagle, compass and manzate are reccommended to spray your pumpkin.rotate systemic with contact and pay attention to the pumpkins stem.it to needs to be sprayed then allowed to be dried off.ps--never cover the pumpkins stem unless its to protect from rain. it needs exposure to the sun.

Pap, is a class act, I've learn a lot From PAP and Ron, the great thing is that Pap isn't afraid to share his knowledge, this to me is what makes a heavy hitter, helping others and helping the hobby to grow.
Once again Pap, my hat is off to you.

Boy, that sure seems like a lot of chemicals for prevention. Are you ever concerned that the drift or over spray will have negative effects on the soils micro-organism? And what about the chemcials "punch" setting back your plants - any concern there? Don't get me wrong, I'm not questioning your skill, and I Thank-You very much for your help. My biggest pumpkin isn't worth talking about. What's your thoughts?
