I am having a very difficult time pollinating my pumkings. It seams that my male flowers are not maturing. They bloom, but don't become powdery. No pollen falls off. They just wither and die. I have had many female blossoms, but none are taking because of this. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

You may have been robed by the bees, Do you get up early in the morning before they open? Try this.......... Put a lunch baggie over them (the males) the night before they bloom. They should be a golden yellow the night before, big in apearence. Someone said if you pick them the night before, and put them in the fridge over night, then take them out in the warmth, the pollin buds will explode with pollin. I never had this problem because I'm up earlyer than the birds. Search Big Pumpkins and see what others did. Hope you get a male with pollin.
