Im soooo tickled! My pumpkin has reached and exceded the first hurdle of 20 inches in 10 days after pollination! WOOHOO!! I went to look at it this morning, and it looks even bigger. I think its really taking off! Im a first timer, so this is very exciting for me. Barb

Congraulation !I know how that sooooo tickled feeling is! I have it too! Mine was only 19" on day 10. I was a little disappointed that it didn't meet the 20". Yesterday, on day 13, it measured 26" at 9:00 and today at 9 it was 28 1/4". I'm a first timer too so 2 1/4" in a day is a WOOHOO feeling for me! Dottie

Yes it is very exciting to see the incremental growth of a giant.

which circumference measurement are you measuring? Blossom to stem or around the middle?

andyman- good point... circ is alway measured around from blossom to stem. (but when pumpkins are small and typically round, - the two should be nearly the same. )

I'm measuring from blossom end , around the stem end and back to blossom end. Is that the right way?
