Would it be wise for me to transplant my seedling from my 4 inch pot to a ice cream bucket with garden soil in it? we have had some strong winds and I have never had any luck transplanting anything from the indiret planting. Any advice?
Would the water curtains for tomotoes work for protecting these at this young stage out in the garden or do I need to construck something different?

I built a 4' tall, 4 sided enclosure around my plant that is covered with reused greenhouse plastic. No direct wind gets in and if there is a threat of frost, hail, or high winds I can just cover the entire thing.

One of my sides I have fashioned in a way where it can drop it down so that I can get it. That side gets held in the closed positions by some small rope.

They out grow the wall of water real quick...we have used large clear storage containers.
The Ice Cream Bucket works great. Flip it upside down and cut off the bottom if you still have the lid..Punch some holes in the lid for drainage..

I make my own wall of water with 6-8 one gallon milk jugs. as the plant outgrows it I just reposition them. I do use row cover held up off the plants to capture more heat and protect from wind.
