Now I'm really confused..... I bought some mirical grow but now I read on here that alot of people dont recomend it because of the salt. I have never heard of the fish/seaweed stuff they are talking about. Is it really that much better? and is this something you feed from start to finish. Is there any advice or guidlines for a new guy to follow.... I'm hoping next year will not be so confusing....but what the hey.... I'm having fun anyway.

I think in moderation you can use things like miracle grow. I use Jacks 20-20-20 as a foliar spray a few times during the season, with the organic ferts. Years ago people were putting an ungodly amount of chemical fertilizers on their plants and would build up salts in their soil.But alittle here and there shouldn't make that much of a difference.(in my opinion)

you use what you have available thats a lot better than using nothing.
in moderation m-grow can help a young struggling plant regain its vigor. i would not reccommend using it as my one source of feeding.
most new growers have yet to gain the knowledge and experience to understand all the various garden ready products that are much better for the soil than m-grow.
in time they to will learn.

Thanks pap, I have alot to learn. This is my 4th year growing a garden and 1st year at a AG. I have never added anything to my soil except cow manure. I really appreciate everybodys help and advice.
Oh and Thanks so much Richard B. I got the seeds and the young plants are doing well.

Miracle grow is a crutch. If you have a broken leg you may need a crutch. If your garden soil is well balanced and your plants are growing strong they don't need a crutch. if not...

I prefer a 20-10-20 peatlite formula from Peter's. peatlite formula's have a double dose of micronutrients for plants grown in sterile potting mixes. plants that are not doing well get a little dose of the 20-10-20. if you want organinc there are many fish and seaweed mixes out on the market,
