never used a systemic before & what i've read it sound s a bit dangerous. Will it be harmful for my grand kids. could use some imput.

DOnt give it to your grand kidZ!! Do you kidZ eat the pumpkin? Systemics are not for veggies we eat. I used last year, no spider miteZ, no aphidZ, no cuke beetleZ, no Squash bugZ, no worrieZ. In granular form...easy to spread and control. What have you read that soundZ dangerous? Let us know

Amen to the WIZ's advice! Don't eat veggies treated with systemics, and keep your pets and kids out of the garden.

Also be careful of skin contact, breathing dust and spray.

Follow same precautions as with insecticides.

so how long does it stay in the ground & i have well water no we don't eat the pumpmkins but we cut them up for j-olanterns any problems doing that.

Bought some new systemic veggie bug control today at Walmart. Says its used on veggies but dont use if you plan an eating from the plant within 21 days. Bayer makes it. Bayer tree and shrub on the front says "Contains Merit" but the veggie systemic doesn't say it contains Merit. Hope this stuff works for my kins.

systemics can last up to 6 weeks, but I apply it every 3 weeks with daconil once a week

Found out this new systemic for veggies from Bayer has merit but less than their Tree and Shrub. Tree and shrub has 1.47% and the veggie systemic has 0.235%. Seems to me its a watered down version of tree and shrub. I think I may double the dose since the content of merit is less.
