I am obviously a newbie at this and have searched all over already for an answer.
My CF's female flowers do not have a "ball" under them. They all look like cucumbers and are growing out a little but growing more length wise. Is this normal or odd? Should I be doing something or adding something?

I am worried because every plant is doing this not just one of them. Will the puff out more later?

All of my flowers on the 81 wolf field pumpkin last year looked like cucumbers. They grew normal pumpkins.

They make the best boats, when they are more oblong.
They tend not to roll as much as the really round fruit.

Unless you got your seeds from a disreputable source.
If so I like my cukes with a little ranch dressing.

My 137.5 crews field pumpkin looked like a zuchinni before it was even pollinated. I think the long ones grow the biggest.

Got them from Burpee...I will not use them next year. Wish I could post a picture on here.

Download your pics to a file on your CPU.
Go to your diary and click on the "Browse" box.
Go to the file click on the pic.
The pic location will show in the Browse box.
Type in any text.
Click on "Submit" (only once)
It'll take a little while, depending on the size (6MB Max.) of the pic.
Then it will indicate that it has been submitted.

OK what the real question is is what the heck is a CF Pumpkin...if its Connecticut Field this is normal...
