Is it normal practice to cut off all the flowers or would that increase chances for disease. or stress the plant?

So after the pumpkin is growing, just let the flowers do their thing and don't worry about walking through the patch trimming flowers?

There are a few theories floating around on removing the flowers or not... Cutting the flowers off reduces the cucumber beatles

I cut them to reduce attracting pests and to keep from harming the bees (I use imidacloprid).

But I dont cut them all off at once, I just remove them as they get ready to bloom, you never know when 5 days from now something will happen and you wish you had a new female or someone needs pollen 'cause they cut all their blossums off.

once we are done pollinating and during continued vine burying we do snip off the newly formed flowers along with any third stage growth.
other than that though? we dont get concerned with leaving some males on the plant. you only trample the soil the more you work in and around the side vines.
