This week when I opened a couple of males, I saw a couple of little seeds sitting on the inside of the petals. Is this normal?

it happens but usually i hear of seeds on the female segments but none on the male ? i guess anything is possible what with all the genetic inbreeding of seeds over the last ten plus years.
some have had success with growing large pumpkins using a female that had seeds in the segments however, i would not keep one if others candidates on the main are available and in better condition.
id be to afraid of a real freaky looking pumpkin from a pollination that was defective from the get-go.

Thanks for the response. I believe you have said before that with these AGs anything out of the ordinary is not good.

I dont know where Swampscott is but thats very common down near Cape Cod....lol (Dave Hampton's backyard....just sayin....lol). No , never seen seeds in males very common in females. These oddities are common, probably not much more common than other similar plants its just that with 50,000 grower eyes looking at the plants sexual parts we see them and have a forum to talk about what we see....
