Is there a certain size, maybe cantaloupe size and shiny, that we feel like the pollination was successful?

normal rule of thumb,, is if the fruit is still growing nice and shiny at day 20.. it is successful

shiny and the size of a small childs basketball is usually a good indication of success.

I had one abort on day 13. If you have any doubt wait a couple more days.

They will abort all the way up to weigh off...some many variables..nutrients..disease...lack of rain..splits..dill rings...and the list goes on.
Pick one and run with it
