Hello!

I am a first year pumpkin grower so please forgive my ignorance. I've tried reading all the posts here that seem related to my problem.

My plants were doing fine about a week ago [nice green color - growing fine, etc]. The weather hasn't really changed, I did not change the amount of water I was giving them. However, now some of the leaves are turning yellow and then the stalk to the leave turns yellow and shrivels up etc. This is happening on ALL of my plants. I have pictures, but am not sure where to post them if that will help. I realize this might be over-watering, nitrogen deficiency, etc. Is there some way I can figure out exactly what is wrong so I can correct this before I kill my plants?

It has been VERY hot here lately and I planted late so my plants are not very mature. I am considering building some shade for them.

Thank you kindly in advance,
Chad

Chad,
You said you have pics. Go to home page and click on grower diaries. Then click on submit to own diary. You can post the pics there. Get those pics posted soon. It will take a day, probably less, for the pics to be approved. Once those pics are there, some more experienced growers can give you thoughts on what it is and how to correct it.

Good Luck,
Mike

Chad, no idea about yout problem, I'm a first year grower to, in Belgium!
I juts wanted to know if there is a grower's association in New Mexico or a weigh off, because my husband's family live in Hobbs, NM. I would like to be in contact with NM growers. I would be happy to discuss with you. You can email me.

Okay folks, I just posted my pics to my diary. Hopefully they will be approved soon. At the time I didn't take these pics with the idea of getting help and wanting a nice picture of the yellow leaves. Thanks for the tip about the diary, Mike. If you need more precise pics or info, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks, Chad

Pretty please could someone go look at my grower's diary and tell me why you think my leaves might be turning yellow and then dying?

Thanks, Chad

In the shade - PDX, OR

looks like a poorly prepared site. What is the plant growing in? How developed is the root system?
Probably Defficient in Nitrogen -
How many hrs of sunlight does that spot get? is it HOT? does the stone wall radiate heat?
Is the plant getting enough water & fertilizer?
