I have been trying to control myself from going out every couple days to the patch and measuring for weight estimation, and to see if its still growing. Here is what I did. I took a piece of string and tied it to the vine close the the stem of the pumpkin. I let it hang down just touching the ground. All I have to do is look at the string and see if it has raised up from the ground. Thats how I know its still growing, and to keep me from going measure crazy. Barb
