I have a friend who finaly had a fruit to set. He ask me to post this measege. He say's that squirls are eating his vines and leaves. STRANGE SQUIRLS! What should I tell him to do? A large tree is next to his plant. He put a bird cage over his fruit to protect it.

Some distance away from the patch along any edge place a water station on the ground. Put a block of salt there too!
Doubt that it is squirrels but they will definately take the line of least resistance. If it was squirrels they will move to your easier offerings.
I would suspect mice and voles!
"One Bite At A Time" will get them all including the squirrels and chippies but beware if you have close by neighbors. There may be some dead bodies to take care of that stay on top of the ground. Note that the box indicates they eat it and then leave in search for water. Now you must have water easily available....not your vines or fruit.

AGHHHH! Dwaine's right on with mouse/rodent poison. They contain Warfarin which works great! But the die of dehydration. So make sure that their last drink of water doesn't come from a severed vine.
