How long will a pumpkin grow after it turns orange?

I have two on my 945 Van and they were orange since they were very small. They are still growing and are shaded. I treated them just like my other pumpkins yet they remain yellow. I think their orange colour is genetic.

Not to much orange, true orange, shows up at this time. When someone ends up with a beauty we all take notice.

Mine are just begining to turn color. I do not expect to see true orange.

orangeness is genetic in AG's. normal sized pumpkins are green, then turn orange as they ripen in the fall and don't grow much after that.

Brigitte, I have a lot different sorts of ´normal sized´ pumpkins they grow in yellow also from begin of blossom and turn to different colors of yellow orange or rosé naturally when ripen. Think, first reason of color is genetic and second reason is the different treatment (shade, oils etc). Im ever surprised about in what different colors AGs will be shown at the weight-offs. Hope You may show a real bis one, all the same in which color.

I have a very Orange Dill-l2. It's been orange from the begining. The deep orange color is nice to look at as it's above the leaves. Yesterdays reading was 252 OTT at 324 lbs.
