If your main vine is heading in the wrong direction on a new seedling(in ground 5-6 days), can the plant be dug up and repositioned, or better to re-route the vine gradually?

dont dig it up, just use a stick to move it the right direction a little at a time, like an inch a day during the heat of the day -- DONT move it early in the morning or you might snap it.
