Finally got a dud plant to set a few weeks ago, the pumpkins are now basketball size, but in northern ohio frost occurs Oct. 15. Can I do something to em to at least get some little carvers?

they say potash... bubblewrap as a tent worked for me in se mich . i also used a hp sodium lamp i used a old pool "solar" blanket,laid accross ropes,, and i burned some charcoal mixed manure and straw, and let it slow burn. this stinks but works. i beat some bad frost... i was near the detroit river. lots of night dew... i have even wired up a heat pump, aka window air conditioner. i connected it to flexduct with slits in it. capped on the outer end.
now i live in se tenn.... late frost.. warm sun.. two planting seasons for some crops. and i hope this year is a deep frost,,,,,
is southern florida starting its growing season? mr t would know.
