i just set a pumpkin on a big max plant 5 days ago... how big do you think it will get?

Well that all depends: Do you have a few warm days left where your at? I started one a few weeks ago, it's not a prize winner, but will make a nice jackolantern. Last year I set one late august and it reached "125" pounds or close to it. Day's are getting shorter, cloudy days are increasing as the season is coming to a end. Get all the growth out of it that you can.

I had 1 to set about 15 days ago. I measure it today and it,s at 161 ott about 98lbs. Im just letting it go and see what happens by Halloween with it. We have warm weather all the way till the end of Oct. So it s hard to say how big it will get. If it is a Big Max you might still get a nice one if the weather doesn,t get to cold there... Greg

I'm playing with one that set and is growing on a cutting in my compost pile. Today it is baseball. 40 lbs a day would make it 1004 by October 4. Har Har Hearty Har Har :)
It should make fifty lbs. or so.
