Horse manure or Cow manure ? Is one recommended over the other? And how much should I put on? I am planning on getting a soil test done as well. Thanks

Many Prefer Cow Manure because the weed seed content is lower then horse. I once did a google search on Bacillus Subtillus and found most of the posts listed were horse feed where it was used as an additive. I found that preety interesting. Get as much as ya can. I've yet to hear anyone say they put to much in the soil. Grow em Big! Chuck

In old horse manure if it lay on a big heap at least for 1 year the seeds are down in order of the heat. They said horse manure makes the earth much more warm than cow manure. I predict for horse manure.

More horses than there are cows. No dairys anywhere near to my home. I don't really have a choice. Found one dairy that will sell me some and another that will give me some. Distance from home gets into the cost factor so it is nearly all horse manure here.
