Subject: When to harvest the bad boy?

I don't have a monster but around 275lb on OTT chart. It's my first "big" pumpkin ever and unsure of when I should cut it. It isn't growing or growing almost not at all and i am going to weigh it on October 11 and then try to carve for Halloween.
Lots of cantalouping stem side on about 25% of pumpkin. Any issues leaving it on until close to the 11th? Vine is actually in ok shape after I got rid of good chuck of leaves a few weeks ago when powdery mildew attacked. Stem is still hard and looks pretty good. Thanks.

Leave it on.It will lose a pound a day if cut off vine. Keep the plant watered.You may still gain a little weight.
