What would you do here to keep it going? hi mitlem i had 2 grow like that after the first one squashed its vine the second one i dug a trench under the vine so as it grew and pushed back down against the ground it had somewhere for the vine to go rather than crushing it and when i picked it you could see it worked but keepthat area dry as you can if your main runner ends up below ground level you probably have it covered anyway you have to have the trench as big as you think it might grow to

Youre going to have to block the shoulder side so that it doesnt tip over towards the stem. If it tips "shows over". Drive a couple of metal fence posts with enough room between them and the pumpkin to fit some wide boards up against the upper shoulder of the pumpkin.

If you can free up the main and some sides a little by cutting a few leaf node roots, you may be able to slide it bak towards stump a little bit and then prop it up. Be careful doing so, they can crack a stem so easy- late afternoon any time your moving one!
