Last night the wind blew my pumpkin plant over. I've put it back right side up. How flexible is the root? I didn't see a crack or kink. I'm just hoping it lives.

The plant will right itself. No cracks in the main vine is good.Put some wing fencing around the plant. Cover the vine with dirt to weigh down and promote rooting.

I had this same problem. The wind twisted the main vine and had the leaves growing in a weird fashion. I corrected the vine, surprisingly didnt have a cracked vine, and the leaves straightened out. I went ahead and buried the vine and today's wind didnt budge the vine.

Thanks everyone. Emergency over. My plant lived. I was quite surprised.
