Cape Breton Nova Scotia

This is my first time trying to grow a giant pumpkin. I started the seeds around April 18th. The plants are growing faster than I thought. It's still pretty cool here in Cape Breton Nova Scotia so I'm nervous to put them outside. Will they be OK in the pots for another week or so?

What is the soil temperature where your at, it would be easy to make a tent of plastic to protect from the cold air but your soil should be over 55

Thanks I'm not sure on the soil temp I'll have to check it. The weather is still pretty cool. We are still getting nighttime lows of 38 and the daytime highs are no more than 59 degrees.

The plants are ready to go outside. with the temps you mentioned they will need some protection. So. if you can provide some protection plant them now. If not hold off. A dead plant is worse than a root bound one.
