Had some damaged leave stalks from a severe thunderstorm the other night. Leaves were bent over and stalks were kinked and cracked. Should I cut damaged stalks and leaves off? If cut off all the way to the vine and any treatment to the cut end? Only lost 3 leaves between 2 plants just want to make sure my next step don't lead to more damage on my part!!!

Leave them on til they show wear and tear...many will heal if they aren't completly torn off the stalk...as for the ones that do break off, yes..cut back to the vine but cut at an angle that will keep water from pooling up in the stalk...dust with sulphur or captan powder if you wish or if your soil is really wet..can't hurt

Leave them on until either they are laying flat on the soil or under the leaf canopy. At that point they are only contributing to the disease pressure. In the long run you'll never notice they are gone.
