what is the difference between sib and or self polinated

self....pollinating a female with a male from the same exact plant.
sibbing...pollinating a female with a male from the same seed stock, but not the same plant...for example if you grow two 845 bobiers, and pollinate a female on one with a male from the other one.

Not to single you out brig, but why do we always use the 845 or comparable pumpkin for our examples???
why not the 30 est Morgan? or the 20 Beachy UOW? or the 2346 Ailts '04?

well jeez joe...i was going to use 604.5 crawford, or 451 engel or something, but i didn't want to seem biased or selfish towards what i have grown, so i used the first random seed that popped into my head. maybe next time i'll use 2347 crawford '04 as an example.

i had two seeds from the 695handy , i sibbed and self pollinnated these plants!! ended up with an ugly 508!!!

ive been told that by selfing a plannnt clarifies the strain!!!
