I poked my pumpkin with my pruning shears. See picture one it has healed but left a scar. Is there anything I can do to make sure it's OK. Picture two should I prune the vine that rubs along the side of the pumpkin which also leaves an abrasion

And if scar healed, it's healed ... It'll get bigger though ...gives them character...

the scar will tend to expand, if you look at the picture in the link below you'll see a scar above the blossom, this had started out as a small chipmunk bite..
