If I have a pumpkin weighed in another state at a Gpc sanctioned site, does it count towards the state it was grown in?

In my opinion , the weigh off site gives you the official weight. The area grown is the official growth site. Jim

If you are applying for a record, you may want to contact someone from your state.

I am attempting to break the state record, taking the kin to another state gives me an extra week of growing time. I'm not certain I need that extra week at this point but I've been wondering how I can do this.

I think the answer is yes. In fact we had this exact scenario at the Doylestown PA weighoff just last year. A grower from NJ had his pumpkin weighed at Doylestown and he set the current NJ record.

Yup take it to any GPC weigh off, it counts for the state it was grown in, not weighed in. Bring it to Colorado.....our last weigh off Oct 22. Good Luck
