Just a rookie, but would guess? B/4 it goes to seed? & plenty of time to get it tilled into the soil after cutting. How far away from planting time are you? Peace, Wayne

I mow mine and don't let it get above 10 Inches tall. Just mow it and let it lay, will break down pretty fast and keep growing until time to till it in. Right now I am mowing mine weekly.
