Had to operate on the stem and cut some rot away. Now the growth is all on the other side. About 50# now so I really want to cut the secondary set to add some weight to this one. Does anyone see a problem developing or should I roll with it?

i do think that the unevenness was evident in an earlier pic. i have been known to mix ONE TABLESPOON of Clorox with 1 gallon of H2O (or, what will fit in a spray bottle & @ that rate) and spray it on the stem AND blossom of a compromised fruit---i have never seen anyone else do this, but it worked as an advancement preventative for me and simply gave me peace of mind. about once per 2-3 days to disinfect the rot you speak of. cheap. seemed to work, slept better. don't get it on slugs; that would be mean. i guess by 'secondary set' you mean the OTHER pumpkin? took me a minute, lol! let's just say, no pumpkin is perfectly round or otherwise, just, each a beauty in its own right. there may be advice about whether to wait on the second one and see how fast THAT one is catching up, and whether to...eg...
again, is that stem a jump rope, or what!?
i'm easily amused, but still, lol...eg
PS---if the stem is an issue and continues to rot, that'd be a disaster without that other fruit, too----
