I was Just wondering about how many years seeds will grow after the year they were harvested because i have some 873.5 from 2001 would it work for this year?

If stored properly, seeds can last for years - Sometimes as many as 10 or more.
As long as they've been stored in a dry place, seeds from 2001 should be fine.
