When should a person fertilize their pumpkin seedling? What type of fertilizer should be used?

I do not fertilize the seedling. The seedling should be in the patch soil and grow to the fertilizers in your patch. The seedling should be in your pot only a few days. Germination is three to four days. Within another three to six days the first true leaves show up. This is when most will plant their seedlings outside in their patches.
I purposely omitted dating because I do not understand your seasons in South Texas. WE know of a couple of seeds that now seem to grow pretty good in the hotter climates.
