OK here's my situation. I want to grow AGs this year but I don't really have much space. I have a rather small backyard With only a small amount of Garden space for flowers. The pumpkins will take over the yard and I don't think my parents would like this very much(but I know they probably won't do anything if it does). So should I grow AGs?

I'd say let 'em rip. With luck, as the yard is over-run, the folks will catch the fever too.

I agree with Tremor, even if u have a 20 x 20 foot patch or even less u can get anything. i got a 547 before on only 150 - 200 sqare feet if that

i had a similar trouble- my family was horrified at the rate my plant was consuming a section of our yard(which is not that small). but once i got a fruit set and growing, complaints turned to compliments. they made a very quick turnaround- it was actually quite funny. andrew.

Go for it and try to grow some vines on a tree, garden fence,… check my diary how I grow it on the roof.

I think you're asking this question to a very biased group of individuals, and the answers you get are gonna be pretty much unanimous.

Some probably not-so-good advice that I often take is... "Don't ask for permission. You can always apologize later."
This is not always the best thing to do. For instance, don't park illegally in metropolitan areas, assuming you will just apologize and things will be ok. On your wife's birthday, don't buy her a golf driver that is sized for you, assuming you will just apologize later and things will be great. If your neighbor's dog barks incessantly, don't take it to the pound to be put down and just apologize later, assuming things will be ok.
On the other hand, its ok to grow an AG. Anywhere. Johnny Appleseed style, even. Apologize later. Things WILL be ok. ;-D
