Subject:  my P.H. is to high. how do i lower it?

My ph ballance is reading 8.o maybe 8.5.Is it worth trying to lower it what do i use and how much.

Can you post your entire results? Sulfur will lower the pH. But we need to see the micronutrients first to make sure we don't upset the apple cart.

well i am still adding soil and manure during this next month so my test results might be different by may 1. but the last test i took showed nitrogen depleted,phosphorus depleted,and potash depleted,and p.h. was 8.0or 8.5.
my patch is pretty big and i only took a sample of 1 section but it should all be the same, ill do more testing tomorrow and let you know.my diary entry for march 29 tells what all i have in my soil. thx fer your response tremor

Are you doing a soil lab or home test...Do not trust those home test kits..they are not accurate.Spend a few dollars for a accurate lab test, it will pay for itself in the long run.

that was just a home test soon i will get a lab test done.
but for now i will do nothing untill im done adding my ferts.pretty much answered my own question just buy researching all the other 5000 posts.alot of you people sound like you really know what your doing.i learned alot last night reading all of your posts on diferent soil ammendments.ill let yall know what the lab test read when i get them.
