Hi ! everyone Has anyone started their plants inside yet? I plan to strt mine the 15th. Then the 1st of may I will put them in the garden inside the green house untill the first of June. Does anyone have any thoughts????

I'm planting them at all different times for fun, staggered a bit, including 1 that just popped it's ahead above dirt. Most of the others still have a bit to wait.

Filed and two to three hour soaked seed germinate and emerge in three to four days. The second true leaf shows in four to six additional days. This is when you should go to the garden.
I think going to the garden on or about May the seventh is about right for the whole growth time needed to get to October 4th weigh off. Going in earlier only gives you an earlier and more difficult holding period to get to the weigh off with a sound fruit. This of course is for the Northeast timing in general. No need to rush the season.

This is my first time trying to grow a giant pumpkin. I thought I would start my seeds May 1. and hope to plant them outside by May 15. Does this sound right?

Im starting next week. We have had a really warm sring here. But I have waited until now. It is hard to hold them if they are ready too early for the weigh offs
