Frost killed my 1061 Pukos. The one night i just happen to not cover it up theres frost. And the frost didn't just hurt it a little it totally destroyed it.

#$%**__# HAPPENS. QUICK START ANOTHER. You have lots of time to do so. You might be frost free by the fifteenth or so.

Yes its sad whats happend to you. But there was a predict on weatherunderground.com.

In good old Europe we have some days tween the 14th and 20th of may, we called "Eisheilige" (Iceholies?). At those days sudden frost at night may occure. It´s not recommend to plant frost sensitive plants outside before 20th of may.

Hey Beachy, how did the frost treat you the other night?

On the other extreme, here in southern California it's not the frost but the heat. We've had two heat waves in the past two weeks with the one earlier this week reaching over 105°F a couple days. It's a good thing I am growing heat tolerant plants. My 950.4 Boyton doesn't know how to wilt. It never wilted and it didn't even have misters on it. My 804 Carlson was somewhat less happy in the heat but overall did very well as long as I had the misters on it.
