The main vine on one of my plants has developed a split. Is the plant doomed or will it heal? What should I do if anything?

Is the split lengthwise or across the grain ? Lengthwise splits do not always spell doom, treat with captan or sulfer powder & keep it dry & you may be fine........Paul

It is lenghtwise. will it heal on its own or do I need to treat with a fungicide?

Use a fungicide just to be safe. A lot of times it will split & heal over before you even see it, but when you do see it treat it with a fungicide. You are more likely to get these splits when you have a spike in water or fertilizer so it's best to keep the watering at a even pace & the same goes with the fertilizers.
